Holidays centered around food can be tough for those with celiac disease or other food allergies. While everyone else indulges in chocolate-covered strawberries and other decadent treats, we obsessively read labels and make sure our gifts are safe to eat.

With Valentine’s Day right around the corner (uhh… Friday!), if you’re scrambling to find a gift for your gluten-free significant other (or friend), keep reading for the perfect gift for anyone!

Valentine’s Day Gift Guide

For everyone

Flowers: Pretty obvious, but you can (almost) never go wrong with flowers. Everyone appreciates a beautiful bouquet!

Succulents: For those who don’t like flowers or want something more long-lasting, succulents or air plants are another great way to show your love.

For the candy lover

For someone who loves their sweets, these are some great, safe options.

Baked by Melissa: These adorable treats are sure to be a great surprise for someone gluten-free. Bite-size, adorable cupcakes? Unheard of. Plus, you can schedule your delivery for Valentine’s Day!

Hershey Kisses: safe, classic, and delicious. No worries with the classic Hershey Kisses!

Yum Earth: Any Yum Earth treat. Aside from being gluten-free, they are also vegan, organic, dairy-free, nut-free… so if your special someone has more allergies, this is a great brand!

For the health-conscious

Smart-Sweets: Great-tasting, with fewer calories, sugar, and higher fiber than traditional candy. Choose from plant-based, sweet, and sour options. In addition to being gluten-free, they are also made in a dedicated gluten, peanut, tree-nut, dairy, soy and casein free-facility. And you don’t have to sacrifice the taste!

For the fitness-lover

Tiems: These indoor cycling shoes will be a hit for anyone who’s a lover of spin and indoor cycling! Modern spin shoes that look like sneakers off the bike. There are tons of colors to choose from, too!

Alani Nu Pre-Workout: Made for women, this specialized pre-workout includes everything you want and need and nothing you don’t. Choose from flavors like Mimosa and Rainbow Candy, and surprise them with something great-tasting with just the right amount of energy!

Fitness Classes: Surprise them with a few classes to their favorite studio.

For the girly-girl

Engravable Necklace: You can’t go wrong with jewelry, especially custom. If you order by February 11, you’ll have it by the 13th. Just in time!

Pro tip: make reservations at a restaurant without a pre-fixed menu. Call ahead, and make sure you choose a spot where your date can eat, too!
